The Oakland Raiders have a ton of young players on their team. In fact, the Raiders are one of the youngest teams in the league and there are only two preseason games left for the rookies to prove their worth and show why they belong on the final 53-man roster. Here are five players to watch in Week 3.

Before the offseason, the Raiders were very thin at the defensive tackle position. Justin Ellis flew under-the-radar in the pre-draft process, but the Raiders were able to bring in a versatile defensive lineman who could play the 1-technique and the 3-technique position. Ellis is raw, but with coaching, he will be a nice rotational player.

Keith McGill is a 6-foot-3, 220-pound cornerback, who has long arms. That prototype is becoming a common one across the NFL. The Raiders drafted McGill thinking he would be a nice player down the road, but like Ellis, McGill is extremely raw. With the injuries to the cornerback position, McGill will get extended time in Week 3.

3. Shelby Harris

Shelby Harris was a late-round draft pick for the Raiders and the first thing one can gather when watching him play is his heart and desire for the game of football. Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle has reported that Harris has taken first-team snaps and he has looked good doing so. The problem is that his future in the league is a situational pass-rusher.

Khalil Mack is turning a ton of heads so far in the preseason and training camp. Mack is a special player and it shouldn't be long until he becomes a superstar in this league. Mack is a fun player to watch and he will see a lot of action against the Green Bay Packers on Friday night.

It's been about a decade since the Raiders have had a consistent quarterback. The coaching staff believes Derek Carr is a special player and Raider fans have reason to believe that their team is in good hands because of him. Carr will likely play around two quarters Friday night. If he plays well, Carr will make his statement on why he should start over Matt Schaub on opening day.
