The Carolina Panthers had seven Pro Bowlers in 2013. I'm not sure if they can match that total again this year, but they certainly have a number of candidates to make it to Hawaii. Here are the five most likely Panthers who could make the Pro Bowl this year.

Greg Olsen is going to rack up targets this year. The Panthers just don't have many other options in the passing game. Olsen will have a chance to make the Pro Bowl based purely on the number of opportunities he is going to have this year. Having Tony Gonzalez retiring helps his case as well.

Greg Hardy might not have reached his crazy 50-sack goal last season, but he did play well enough to earn his first Pro Bowl appearance. The former sixth-round pick recorded 15 sacks and was one of the vital parts to the Panthers' resurgent defense. Hardy's biggest issues are off the field problems. He was arrested for domestic violence in May and will have that looming over him all season long.

Pro Bowl voting for offensive linemen is usually pretty bad. The same guys make it year after year because it's the hardest position to evaluate. This is all great news for Ryan Kalil, because he has already been to four Pro Bowls. It's not that he isn't a good player, but he could probably have an average year and still be selected this year.

Cam Newton is already a two-time Pro Bowl player, so it isn't a stretch to say he could make it again this year. The biggest obstacle for him is the wealth of other really good quarterbacks in the NFL. He also has the weakest supporting cast of any of the other top quarterbacks. Newton will be a deserving candidate if he puts up big numbers with this roster.

Based on the way Pro Bowl voting goes, if Luke Kuechly stays healthy for 16 games then he is going to make it. The reigning defensive player of the year usually gets a few years of guaranteed appearances based on reputation alone. Fortunately for Carolina, Kuechly isn't someone who will sit back and rest on his laurels.
