Pittsburgh Steelers 2014: 5 Players Who Could Make Pro Bowl

The Pittsburgh Steelers have some of the premier talent in the NFL and they also have some young talent that are primed to have a breakout season. With all of that talent it seems likely that the Steelers will be well represented at the Pro Bowl at the end of the year. Here are the five Steelers most likely to represent their team in Hawaii.

It is not often that a rookie makes the Pro Bowl, but Pittsburgh Steelers' slash player Dri Archer has a real chance to do that. He is an electric player, using his speed to make big plays. That could come in handy in the return game and that seems like the easiest way for a player to make the Pro Bowl. If Archer can make explosive plays in the return game, he should be returning kicks in Hawaii.

A former Pro Bowl center, Maurkice Pouncey will look to represent the Steelers again this season. He is fresh off of an injury that cost him all of his 2013 season and he also just signed a new contract that makes him the highest paid center in football. Pouncey will look to live up to that mantra as he did his first few seasons in the NFL, and if he plays how he's capable, he should be snapping the ball in the Pro Bowl at the end of the year.

Like his center, Big Ben has visited Hawaii before. He does not have an extensive arsenal this season to help boost his stats to Pro Bowl level, but he is Ben Roethlisberger and he has done more with less. If Roethlisberger can lead his team back into the playoffs for the first time in a few seasons, he should at least get a look to play in the Pro Bowl, even if he is a replacement added later on.

2. Lawrence Timmons

Lawrence Timmons has quietly become the leader of the Steelers' defense due in large part to their youth movement. The veteran seemed to be making every tackle on defense last season and was surprisingly not picked to go to Hawaii to represent the Steelers. But if the Steelers contend this season and Timmons puts up a similar, dominant season on defense, he won't be snubbed of a Pro Bowl invite again.

1. Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown has gone to the Pro Bowl before but as a return specialist. Since then, Brown has transformed himself into one of the best receivers in all of football and after putting up a stellar campaign last season, Brown could breakout and have a monster season on an improved Steelers team. If Brown puts up the numbers many expect, he will be in Hawaii representing the Steelers again in 2014.
