The Jets continue to illustrate that they mean business when it comes to running the football the majority of the time on offense. When it came to rushing against the Giants, the Jets racked up 146 combined yards on the ground which includes some quarterback run-option plays. If the Jets stick to this game plan and everyone stays healthy, they will find much success on the football field.

Tight end Jace Amaro has been struggling throughout training camps as he adjusts to life in the NFL. The great news is when it matters most come game time, he's been showing flashes of living up to the hype he's been generating ever since he was drafted by the Jets. Amaro caught 4 receptions for 37 yards including a nice 15-yard play that made fans everywhere look forward for what has yet to come.

It's been an incredibly long time since the Jets had a wide receiver that could catch the ball and actually make plays after he has the football in his hands. Wide receiver Eric Decker has been great so far with the Jets and against the Giants not only did he haul in a touchdown, but he averaged over 11 yards per reception. Decker will be a difference maker for the Jets this upcoming season.

In what really wasn't a quarterback competition despite what the Jets like to tell the media, they officially announced Geno Smith as their starting quarterback come Week 1 of the regular season. It hasn't come to a shock to many since everyone knew this was his job to lose. At least he got the big news on a night where he did shine against the Giants and committed no turnovers. Looks like Smith is on his way to prove he is worthy of the spot.

1. Defensive Secondary Has Huge Question Marks

The Jets have a huge question mark when it comes to their defensive secondary. Despite having a decent game against the Giants, they did look sloppy on some deep passing plays down the field. With a rotating carousel in their defensive backfield, the Jets might have a rude awakening if they don't come up with a solid idea to fix the problems that could arise. They need an action plan immediately so they don't get torched through the air.
