Soon after Week 3 of the preseason, the first major NFL roster cuts are due. Teams must be down to 75 players on the active roster by 4:00pm on August 26. In the new Cleveland Browns regime, this could mean cutting players who have been regulars on the 53-man roster in previous years. Here's a look at five Cleveland Browns who could be on the chopping block by the time Tuesday rolls around.

Browns fullback Ray Agnew is part of a dying breed in the NFL and it appears as though his spot on Cleveland's active roster is all but dissolved. Marqueis Gray has seen significant action at fullback throughout the preseason and is also capable of lining up at tight end. Running back Chris Ogbonnaya is another hybrid player who's able to play either backfield spot. Agnew may not be the only player in the offensive backfield who's cut.

This is Royce Adams' second stint with the Browns this offseason, having been signed in February and waived in September. Adams was once signed earlier this month, but has proven to be a few steps behind his fellow Cleveland cornerbacks. Adams was routinely picked on in the Browns' game against Washington and was beat a few times by Redskins' receivers, including a touchdown play. Adams may have a chance to make the Browns' practice squad.

Undrafted rookie free agent running back Isaiah Crowell has surprisingly not been a huge part of the Browns' plans thus far in the preseason. Crowell has played mostly on special teams, and rushed twice for three yards in week two against Washington. Crowell certainly has the talent to make an NFL roster, but he's facing a crowded Browns backfield and could find himself on Cleveland's practice squad.

Once a starter in Cleveland for a brief time, Tank Carder has slowly slipped to the bottom of the Browns' depth chart. In the Browns' week two game against Washington during which Carder played late minutes, he accounted for only one tackle. Carder has been running with the third string players throughout the preseason, so he could be one of the first to be waived by Cleveland before the major cutdown of the roster.

Connor Shaw looked tremendous in his first NFL action against the Redskins throwing for 123 yards on eight completions and a Hail Mary touchdown. Shaw looked comfortable leading the third-team offense and although he made a couple mistakes, looked poised standing in the pocket and running the read option. However, the signing of Rex Grossman will more than likely push Shaw to a spot on the practice squad possibly once week four cuts are due.
