The Giants took down nner-state rival, the New York Jets on Friday night, and in the process, it improved to a pristine 4-0 record. Its second team offense carried the team most of the way on Friday night with both new and old faces leading the Giants to a 35-24 victory.

DRC proved to be worth his contract when he went head-to-head with No.1 wide receiver Eric Decker. He covered him well most of the night and had a really nice pass breakup in the Giants' endzone that saved a Jets' touchdown. He's a feisty cornerback with great speed and long arms that makes it difficult for receivers to gain any kind of separation between him. DRC will prove to be a great pickup for the Giants this year.

Cruz was pretty much himself in Week 3 against the New York Jets. He was all over the field making plays and gaining extra yards against a weak Jets' secondary. He finished the game with four grabs for 61 and made his presence known when he was out there on the field. Despite a poor 2013 season for the G-men, Cruz still has a solid year and I expect more of the same from him in 2014.

Washington is the MVP of the preseason for the New York Giants right now. The guy is a touchdown machine and he caught his fourth touchdown against the New York Jets in the fourth quarter. Not too long ago a wide receiver named Victor Cruz broke out for the Giants in the preseason and became the team's best receiver. Washington may be the next Cruz-like breakout. The undrafted rookie from Newberry College is making a name for himself.

Last season the Giants did not have a true No. 1 running back and after the game on Friday, Jennings proved that he could be that guy. The former seventh-round draft pick is making the most of his opportunity to shoulder the load in 2014. He had a bounce-back performance against the Jets in the team's fourth preseason game. He ran hard and threw a lot of tackles on his way to 67 yards on the ground. Jennings is poised for a breakout season.

The quarterback from Syracuse displayed some pin point accuracy and nice touch against the Jets defense. For a rookie, he was poised and showed great delivery and confidence in all of his throws. He finished the game eight of 12 passing with 103 yards and three touchdowns, not too shabby. This kid has a bright future and Giants fans should be excited that the team has a great replacement for Eli Manning.
