Defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson had a brilliant game and continued to prove why he will be a force to reckon with this upcoming season. He applied a ton of pressure to quarterback Eli Manning that resulted in plenty of rushed passes as well as almost forcing some turnovers.

4. Chris Johnson

Running back Chris Johnson was absolutely great and continues to evolve into the dynamic running back the Jets envisioned him to be. He had 42 yards on nine carries and flashed his speed and ability to break plenty of tackles in the heat of the moment.

3. Geno Smith

Quarterback Geno Smith played a solid game, and so far had his best game of the preseason. He threw for 137 yards, and the best stat for him against the Giants is that he did not turn the football over. This proves that his offseason regimen and development so far have been working in his favor.

2. Chris Ivory

When running back Chris Johnson ran for a big play and needed a breather, Chris Ivory stepped right in and added even more big plays on offense. Ivory is doing well handling backup duties so far and did a terrific job against the Giants rushing for 50 yards on six carries. It goes to show that the Jets commitment to running the football continues to prove they have the weapons to execute it effectively.

1. Darrin Walls

For what it's worth, the Jets' defensive secondary actually didn't do so bad against the Giants. Cornerback Darrin Walls had a strong defensive game which saw him end the night with four tackles and three passes defended. Granted, it's just preseason football, but with all the problems the Jets' secondary are having, Walls was a pleasant surprise when his number was called.
