The Miami Dolphins took down the Dallas Cowboys last night by a score of 25-20 for Miami's second win of the preseason. Miami can thank these five players for putting together a great showing in the team's "dress rehearsal" game.

Cameron Wake was an absolute monster last night. Working in a limited role against Dallas RT Doug Free, he collected four total tackles and two sacks. Wake looks to be a tip-top form heading into 2014 after suffering knee issues throughout the majority of his 2013 campaign. If Wake can get himself back into that 15+ sack form and third-year DE Olivier Vernon can continue to progress, AFC East quarterbacks best watch their back.

I must admit, I went into this game not really knowing what to expect out of the former St. Louis Ram, but I came away quite pleased. Shelley Smith looked quite good working as the first-team right guard, and Miami was able to run the ball well behind Smith and rookie RT Ja'Wuan James against this beat-up Dallas front. Smith and Dallas Thomas are still battling for the starting job at right guard, but Smith may have locked it up last night.

3. WR Mike Wallace

Mike Wallace was far and beyond the team's best receiver on the night. Outside of his six receptions for 67 yards, Wallace was used as a blocker and had a nice block on a 13-yard Lamar Miller run early in the first quarter. Offensive coordinator Bill Lazor looks as though he will be moving Wallace around this season, and may even use him on short routes rather than as a "one-trick-pony." Hear that, Warren Sapp?

2. QB Matt Moore

Matt Moore had one heck of a night for Miami in his second game of preseason action, connecting on 12 of his 19 passes for 172 yards and one touchdown. While Moore also threw a nasty interception, he is clearly the team's best option as Ryan Tannehill's backup and there is no way Moore is on the outside looking in. He threw a few beautiful bombs to TE Harold "Gator" Hoskins and WR Damian Williams. He's here to stay, and fans should be happy.

Knowshon Moreno shut up all of his critics last night, putting on one of the best Miami performances thus far this preseason, rushing for 64 yards on just 10 carries all in the first half. Moreno looked fast, physical, patient and in-shape, unlike what many have suggested about the former Denver Bronco this offseason. He is much better than Lamar Miller has been this offseason, and the team will likely feature Moreno in the offense this season.
