The Miami Dolphins certainly took care of business on paper in last night's 25-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys, but Miami still has numerous questions to answer across the roster. With roster cuts looming, Miami's coaching staff may have some difficult decisions on their hands.

Here are five takeaways from last night's victory.

Shelley Smith looked quite good during his time working with the first-team offense yesterday. Granted, he was working against a beat-up Dallas defensive line, but Smith still looked like a much better player at right guard than his counterpart Dallas Thomas. Thomas still struggled a bit yesterday when given the opportunity to grab a few snaps with the first-team in Smith's place. Smith locked this job up with a great outing yesterday.

Miami looked as though they made a bit of an improvement this offseason at corner. Well, that was on paper. So far, CB Cortland Finnegan has struggled to make an impact and really struggled last night working against WR Dez Bryant. Finnegan has a physical style to him that makes him valuable, but he looked a bit slow. Second-year corner Jamar Taylor also struggled last night, allowing WR LaRon Byrd to score. Taylor needs to step up quickly.

3. RB Damien Williams Made The 53-Man Roster

Damien Williams put together another solid outing last night for Miami collecting 33 yards on seven carries, while also scoring a one-yard touchdown in the 3rd quarter. Williams surely has made this team as the No. 3 back, especially given the fact that Daniel Thomas, whom Williams is competing with, has yet to make his preseason debut and is likely on the outside looking in. Williams looks like a nice complementary back if he develops properly.

The other Damian Williams has been quite good also, in spurts that is. Williams has been one of the team's go-to deep threats and has looked pretty darn good at it. Williams hauled in a perfectly thrown 54-yard bomb from second-team QB Matt Moore last night, showing off speed, hands and the ability to track the ball on the run. With Wallace, Hartline and Landry locks to make the 53, Williams, Matthews and Gibson may force Miami to keep six WRs.

Knowshon Moreno ended his "night," or rather first half with 10 carries for 64 yards, but the former Denver Bronco runner looked strong, explosive, powerful and quite patient waiting for his blocks to set up. Moreno chipped away at the Dallas defense and made some really nice cuts and runs. Needless to say, I was quite impressed with how much better Moreno looked than Lamar Miller last night. Moreno needs to be featured in Miami's offense.
