Denver Broncos: Emmanuel Sanders Will Be An X-Factor This Season
Fans of the Denver Broncos have waited all preseason to see the additional element that their team’s offense could bring. It’s safe to say that fans, including myself, have been quite impressed.
A free agent addition to the roster this offseason, Emmanuel Sanders finally broke through and showed what he could bring to the already electric offense, as he finished the game with five receptions for 128 yards, which included two touchdown receptions of 67 and 29 yards. After being shut down for the first preseason game and missing the second, it was nice to see Sanders finally get into a game and make some plays in what is a preview of the performance he can bring every week.
Because of his ability to get open and go deep, I believe that Sanders will become the x-factor for the Broncos’ offense this season. The Broncos have taken a gamble by letting Eric Decker walk in free agency and bringing in Sanders to replace his production. With his two touchdown receptions against the Houston Texans Saturday night, it appears as if the Broncos’ front office made the right decision. And the Broncos have so many options with Sanders, as they can line him up on the outside or the slot. His abilities to move all around the field will give defenses fits as far as preparation for wherever he lines up.
Having Sanders in the offense will be a nice addition to a team that was already great on the offensive side of the ball. Peyton Manning will have another option in the passing game, while Sanders will look to set career highs and become an important part to what the Broncos hope is a Super Bowl run.
