The Jacksonville Jaguars were unable to come away with a victory against the Detroit Lions Friday night. Heading into the preseason finale, the Jaguars still have plenty of questions left to answer, as well as plenty to look forward to this season. With that in mind, here are five takeaways from the Jaguars' Week 3 preseason loss to the Lions.

After Friday's game, it is clear that Jordan Todman will receive the bulk of the work at running back behind starter Toby Gerhart. Todman had five carries for just three yards, but had three receptions for 32 yards against the Lions. With Todman as the backup, that leaves Denard Robinson and rookie Storm Johnson left to fight it out for any remaining touches.

Offseason surgery limited free safety Josh Evans all offseason, and he lost his starting job to Winston Guy. However, Evans has had a strong preseason and will factor into the rotation at safety going forward.

The center position was the Jaguars' biggest concern along the offensive line all offseason and it remains the biggest question mark heading into the preseason finale. Mike Brewster was the starter at center for the first two preseason games, but his poor play opened the door for Jacques McClendon to earn the job. McClendon started against Detroit and was replaced in the game by rookie Luke Bowanko and one of those two will likely be the starter.

2. Allen Hurns Will Have A Role

Undrafted free agent Allen Hurns has been the Jaguars' best wide receiver throughout the preseason, and he will have a role once the regular season starts. What that role is has yet to be determined, but if he can continue playing at a consistent level, he could be the team's third receiver, or potentially start the season as the starter opposite veteran Cecil Shorts III.

Different week, same story for Blake Bortles. The rookie quarterback was impressive yet again, as he looked poised, showed great pocket awareness, and made a few big-time throws. Bortles appears more than ready to be the team's starter, but head coach Gus Bradley reiterated after the game that veteran Chad Henne would be the team's Week 1 starter against the Philadelphia Eagles.
