The St. Louis Rams were very impressive in Week 3 of the preseason. Despite losing starting QB Sam Bradford to a knee injury in the game, the team didn't seem to miss a beat. Five players really stepped up their game in particular on Saturday. Read on to find out who they were.

Acquired this offseason, WR Kenny Britt is trying to prove that he has something left in the tank and can stay out of trouble. On Saturday, he accomplished one of them, at least so far. He showed flashes of what he was in Tennessee a few years back, catching both of his targets for 68 yards. If he can earn the trust of the Rams' coaching staff and keep his nose clean, Britt could return to stardom in 2014.

Most people probably have no idea who Trey Watts is. The rookie out of Tulsa has flown under the radar for his entire college career, so much so that he went undrafted in May. However, he is very talented as a dual threat and he was on full display in preseason Week 3. He had nine carries for 36 yards and a touchdown. He also caught all three of his targets for 31 more yards. Unfortunately, he is buried on the depth chart, and that won't change.

WR Chris Givens had a breakout game in Week 3. He caught two of his three targets for 94 yards (a 47 yard average) and a touchdown on the night. Unfortunately for him, he is currently listed as the No. 4 WR behind Britt, Brian Quick, Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey on the Rams' depth chart. He is still expected to catch his fair share of deep balls for the Rams this year though.

One of the biggest stories of the offseason, DE Michael Sam is now getting recognition for what he does on the field rather than his sexual preference. In Week 3, he sacked Browns backup QB Johnny Manziel not once, but twice. He even went as far as to taunt Manziel with his own signature "money" sign. Sam probably made the Rams' roster based on preseason performances and his draft pick status, but he may have to play mostly on special teams.

Rams third-string QB Austin Davis would've been an afterthought two days ago. Now, he could slide in as a backup or even a starter at some point this year. That of course depends on the severity of Sam Bradford's knee injury, which an MRI should soon reveal. If Bradford misses significant time, Davis could step in just like in Week 3. He completed 14-of-22 passes for 198 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He also ran twice for 18 yards.
