Although the outcome wasn't what the Dallas Cowboys had hoped for, Saturday's preseason Week 3 matchup against the Miami Dolphins had its share of bright spots.

Let's take a look at five Cowboys, who stood out in Week 3.

Ryan Williams has looked really good for the Cowboys, now that he's healthy. On Saturday, he turned in another really good game on the ground, and in the passing game. In three games he has 25 carries for 112 yards and a touchdown. Personally, I think he looks like he might be the No.2 running back going forward.

It's not often that a punter gets praised, but Chris Jones deserves it. On Sunday, he booted three punts, which averaged 43.3 yards - his highest average of the preseason - and he managed to pin the Dolphins inside their own 20, twice.

LaRon Byrd, WR, Dallas Cowboys

Watching LaRon Byrd stretch out to catch the football at its highest point was a thing of beauty. So far he's had no drops and has caught three of five passes for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Bruce Carter actually didn't look lost in coverage on Saturday - shocking isn't it? In fact, on four targets he only allowed one catch, he even had a pass breakup that looked like a sure interception. He also made a special teams play, but it was negated by a faux-penalty.

Tyler Patmon, CB, Dallas Cowboys

One forced fumble, two interceptions and a touchdown, do I need to say more? Through two games, Patmon has shown up for the Cowboys and made positive plays. Teams tend to keep these types of guys around.
