Now that the most meaningful NFL preseason week has passed, most starters for their respective teams will be sitting out during Week 4. With offenses beginning to take shape, it is clear that the league continues to have some serious offensive powerhouses. Here are the top ten offenses entering the 2014 NFL season.

The Colts finished 2013 with the 15th best offense. However, they jump into the top ten with the expected improvement of Andrew Luck, along with the addition of Hakeem Nicks and bringing Reggie Wayne back from injury. Indianapolis’ biggest question mark remains their running game. Trent Richardson needs to take a step forward if they want to move further up the power rankings.

Philip Rivers and the Chargers had a nice revival in 2013 under Mike McCoy. Look for that solid production to continue in 2014.

A ton of people expect Atlanta to bounce back this year. At the very least, their offense should be much better with Julio Jones back from injury.

7. Detroit Lions

We all know about the Matthew Stafford-Calvin Johnson connection. But the Lions actually improved their offense with the signing of Golden Tate and the drafting of rookie Eric Ebron.

6. New Orleans Saints

Many people will expect the Saints to be rank a little higher. However, with the loss of Darren Sproles and Marques Colston starting to slightly decline, they start 2014 in the No. 6 spot.

New England has a chance to rise quickly if Rob Gronkowski proves he can stay healthy.

Aaron Rodgers has a ton of weapons around him which include Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson and Eddie Lacy. However, the reason Green Bay does not crack the top three is a result of not having a great red zone target.

3. Chicago Bears

It is extremely weird seeing Chicago ranked this high, but it is warranted. They finished 2013 8th overall in total offense and really have a full complement of weapons at Jay Cutler’s disposal. Three teams from the NFC North make this list. Let's see if they are still on it come December.

2. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles start 2014 right where they left off in 2013. Philadelphia finished with the second-best offense in the NFL, and they actually have a chance to improve this season.

With Peyton Manning at the helm, no other team deserves to start the season at No. 1.
