Seattle Seahawks Surprisingly Release Terrelle Pryor
Just like that, my final 53-man roster prediction is ruined! But hey, let’s be honest, I’m sure that I definitely have more misses coming. After last night, I have a feeling that WR Bryan Walters will make the team. As for WR Phil Bates? I don’t even know, but I am probably wrong on that one, too.
The word in the Twitterverse is that Seattle Seahawks quarterback Terrelle Pryor has been released. That’s right, he was not kept as a third option at quarterback, and he was not traded, like many people thought he may be. In fact, most of us thought that being released was the least likely outcome. Classic Pete Carroll and John Schneider move!

The release of Pryor does not necessarily mean that Seattle has seen the end of him. There are definitely some teams out there that will have interest, and one of them will very likely be the St. Louis Rams. After the season ending injury to Sam Bradford, the Rams have turned to backup QB Shaun Hill. Maybe the veteran QB is better than a few current starters, and maybe he’s not. Either way, it is difficult to get excited about Hill, and Rams head coach Jeff Fisher will likely have interest in the athletic QB.
Pryor, at times, maybe even most of the time, throws an ugly ball, however, he has improved tremendously during his time in Seattle. Everyone already knows that he can make plays with his legs. He still has a lot of developing, but the Rams may see him as a better option than what they currently have.
I am sure Pryor is leaving Seattle on good terms. Still, games against the Rams with Pryor running the offense would make it quite a bit more interesting. We shall see.
