It's no secret that the Jets' defensive line is truly one of the best to hit the NFL. Expect to see another brilliant year by Muhammad Wilkerson, Sheldon Richardson and Damon Harrison in which they will be ruthless against all offenses coming their way.

Wide receiver Eric Decker will prove that he's not just a product of quarterback Peyton Manning, and will be a huge addition to the Jets' offense. Decker will also help those around him elevate their game to finally bring a solid aerial attack to the Jets.

Safety Calvin Pryor has already shown glimpses of greatness in training camp and preseason football. He hits hard, and will hone his defensive skills as the season progresses. Expect huge things out of "Bonecrusher."

Quarterback Michael Vick was brought in mainly to help groom Geno Smith towards being a better and more consistent athlete for his position. So far, Vick has done very well in coaching and training Smith to not be the turnover machine he was last season. Expect to see Smith have a much better sophomore season mainly due to Vick always being there to help him improve.

6. Defensive Secondary Gets Torched

The Jets failed to address their defensive secondary issues during the offseason, and will pay for it dearly in 2014. Expect to see the Jets get torched consistently by the elite quarterbacks in the league.

Jace Amaro struggled throughout the summer, but finally started to show his true potential towards the end of preseason football. He's a big guy for his position and once he gets a few regular season games under his belt, he will emerge as a top tight end for the Jets.

Running back Chris Johnson will have a monster year for the Jets as long as he remains healthy. He's still incredibly fast and brings a nice dimension to the Jets' ground-and-pound offense. Expect a huge year out of CJ2K as he will run up and down the field against opponents. He will also provide a nice dual-threat option with his solid receiving skills.

3. Geno Smith Shows Tremendous Improvement

Quarterback Geno Smith is considered by many analysts heading as one of the worst athletes at his position. Many predict he will continue to be turnover-prone and show no improvement. If one looks at the tape, he's much improved from last year. He has better awareness, technique and most of all, he's not rushing his passes like before. Expect to see tremendous improvement out of Smith.

With a dominating running game, strong defensive line and an improved special teams unit, the Jets should be able to squeeze into the NFL Playoffs. Of course, they have a major weakness in their defensive secondary, but they should be able to overcome that still be a playoff-contending team. Expect to see the Jets go 10-6 and make the postseason in 2014.

Don't expect to see the Jets win many games against top quarterbacks this year. However, you can expect them to sweep the best team of the AFC East in the New England Patriots. The Jets shocked the Patriots last season with an overtime victory and almost had them in their second game, but lost by a field goal. The Jets will run hard against the Patriots, and will shock many this season by beating Tom Brady and company not once, but twice!
