The Seattle Seahawks absolutely dominated Super Bowl 48, as they led wire to wire, defeating the Denver Broncos 43-8. It's a new year, but there is no doubt that both the Seahawks and Broncos are still the top teams in their respective conferences. With that being said, do not be surprised if there is a rematch in Super Bowl 49, as both teams will have the same Super Bowl or bust mentality.
The Broncos got destroyed at the hands of the Seahawks in Super Bowl 48. They were flat out embarrassed on the grandest stage of them all and now they will look for revenge in 2014. They must always keep in mind how bad they were beaten by the Seahawks and use that as the fuel to their fire throughout the season. They will be chomping at the bit to get back to the Super Bowl and prove that last season's performance was a fluke.
There is no question that the Seattle Seahawks' defense is just head and shoulders above everyone else's. The group that is called "The Legion of Boom" has earned their name by playing a smash mouth brand of defense that has just overwhelmed opposing offenses. They have just about all the same faces returning in 2014 and there's no reason why Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Kam Chamcellor and company can't be just as good, or even better, in 2014.
As long as Peyton Manning is still slinging the rock for the Broncos, they are going to be a dangerous team. Manning has had a pair of historic seasons with the Broncos, but has fallen short in the postseason. You better believe that he is going to come out in 2014 and put on a clinic with the hopes of redeeming himself in the Super Bowl. Manning has one thing on his mind in 2014, and that is a ring.
The Broncos are still the best team in the AFC. They are just far better than the rest of the conference; they are the most complete team, and Peyton Manning has a lot to do with that. I really can't see any team in the AFC giving them a run for their money. I'm not a believer in the Kansas City Chiefs, the New England Patriots do not scare me anymore, and everyone else is just not on their level. The Broncos should have no issues in 2014.
It is really hard to find a team better than the Seahawks right now; they are by far the most complete team in the NFL. When you break it down offensively, defensively and by special teams, they have the best balance in football. Their defense receives the bulk of the attention, which they rightfully deserve, but their offense is no joke. Russell Wilson is the real deal and their run game is very serious, which makes them the total package.
