The Green Bay Packers need to start this season off with a win. Their defense is looking sharper than the last two years, and if key players remain healthy, the team could have a great year. Their biggest regular season game may be their first, and if a these five players have great games, the team could earn a very difficult "W" in Week 1.

The rookie out of Ohio State is obscenely strong and has shown himself more than capable during the preseason. He has committed a few penalties, and should practice better discipline with the 12th man in attendance in Seattle. He will need to up his game; opening up holes for Eddie Lacy and protecting Aaron Rodgers against the best defense in the league.

The Seahawks have the hardest hitting team in the league. How can such a problem be solved? Hit them harder. In spite of Lacy's speed, he is also one of the most powerful and devastating backs in the league. If he gets some decent blocks by the offensive line, look for him to put the hurt on some Seahawk linebackers and defensive backs. Lacy having a successful game will also allow the offense to avoid the NFL's best secondary.

After the shameful performance by M.D. Jennings last year, the Packers moved Micah Hyde to free safety. Coaches can't say enough about Hyde, from his sharp play recognition to his speed and tackling reliability. Hyde will not only have to lock down the likes of receivers like Doug Baldwin and Percy Harvin, but will also have to step up against the run and drop Marshawn Lynch; a difficult task for any of the NFL's safeties.

With the injury to B.J. Raji, Josh Boyd is rumored to be moving to the nose tackle position. He lacks the ideal size for the job, but has shown intelligence and speed in run defense. Whether Boyd plays end or tackle, his ability to plug gaps and make hits could be the difference between controlling Marshawn Lynch and the Packers' defense getting trampled.

Fans have yet to see how Julius Peppers will be used in the Packers' defense. Defensive coordinator Dom Capers has indicated that Peppers will play outside linebacker and defensive end depending on the scheme. If he can contain and get pressure on Russell Wilson, the Seahawks' offense will be significantly weakened.
