Even though the Indianapolis Colts lost against the Philadelphia Eagles and No. 1 running Trent Richardson back had a good game, Ahmad Bradshaw was the guy to watch on Monday night in Week 2. Bradshaw had a day against the Eagles’ defense and finished the game with 96 total yards and two touchdowns through the air. He did a little bit of everything for the Colts and looked explosive every time Andrew Luck gave him the ball. If Bradshaw can provide a Darren Sproles element on offense the Colts should be ecstatic.

Bradshaw doesn’t have the speed or the ability to break a big play in the matter of seconds like Sproles, but he possesses that same ability to make people miss and be a reliable option out of the backfield. One could argue and say Richardson could be the one in line for a big game in Week 3, but Richardson’s breakout game is good for Bradshaw. If Richardson could control the running game between the tackles, then Bradshaw can have more open field on the outside to make plays.

Bradshaw has a great matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3 as their defense just gave up 41 points to the Washington Redskins and is ranked No. 29 in total defense. Bradshaw was a solid back with the New York Giants not too long ago, but his problem was staying on the field. He was constantly fighting off injuries, and the Giants could not extend him due to his inability to stay healthy. As a result the Colts signed the ex-Giant to a one-year contract so he could prove that he could stay healthy over the course of a full season.

So far, it looks like he has done just that.
