Chris Baker Deserves Suspension After Ugly Cheap Shot on Nick Foles

In a rivalry game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins, tensions are bound to soar. But taking cheap shots is completely unnecessary, especially on the opposing quarterback when the play is already over.

That’s exactly what happened on Sunday when Redskins defensive tackle Chris Baker unloaded on Eagles quarterback Nick Foles after what appeared to be an interception. When Foles had his back turned, Baker unloaded on the unsuspecting quarterback, temporarily knocking him out the game. The hit resulted in a massive brawl between the two teams, with Baker and Eagles offensive tackle Jason Peters getting ejected.

Peters was ejected after throwing a punch at Baker as he attempted to defend his quarterback following the vicious hit.

There’s no room in the NFL for cheap shots like that. Baker needs to be suspended for delivering that cowardly hit on Foles, plain and simple.
