Ike Taylor Suffers Broken Arm After Taking Friendly Fire

Warning: Video isn’t for the squeamish.

It’s not uncommon for NFL players to get hurt after taking a hit from a teammate who is trying to tackle the same player. Typically, those injuries are nothing more than stinger or bruise, though. Ike Taylor, however, watched his arm snap in half after taking friendly fire from Lawrence Timmons during Sunday night’s showdown between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers.

Taylor was helped off the field after his arm was placed in an air cast. He’ll obviously be out of commish for an extended period of time, and all because his teammate was trying to help him out. It’s a part of the game, but it doesn’t make it any easier to swallow.
