TV Schedule: Sunday, Sept. 28, 4:05 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: Qualcomm Stadium
Line: San Diego (-13.5)
You could say the San Diego Chargers are the better team entering this contest.
They have a 2-1 record. The Jacksonville Jaguars are 0-3. Not to mention, Jacksonville has now lost by a combined score of 119-44. Heck, the Indianapolis Colts just got done scoring 44 points against the Jags. And would you look at that line. If San Diego plays like it knows how to, it should have no problem winning in blowout fashion.
With all of that said, Jacksonville has something to look forward to and that is rookie QB Blake Bortles. Bortles racked up 223 yards and two TDs in Week 3.
Still, Bortles is a rookie, and he needs some more reps before fans can go completely crazy. Plus, San Diego is proving to be a playoff team early on. After all, the Chargers did manage to knock off last year’s Super Bowl champs. If it wasn’t for one point, they would be undefeated (lost to Arizona by one point in the first week).
San Diego should have no problem racking up the yards on the Jaguars. Jacksonville doesn’t exactly have one of the best defenses in the league, and the offense certainly has not been impressive either.
In the end, expect San Diego to win big at Qualcomm Stadium. Jacksonville will eventually win a game this season (hopefully), but that victory is not going to come in Week 4.
PREDICTION: Jaguars 10, Chargers 30
