Sunday will feature a matchup between two teams that stand at 2-1, the Baltimore Ravens and the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers will be traveling into Baltimore and look to win the war in the trenches. The Ravens’ Steve Smith looks to make a big statement against his former team. These are five bold predictions for the Week 4 matchup between the Panthers and Ravens.

Did you realize that he has just 26 rushing yards and a lost fumble in his two games this season? Yikes. Rib injuries will do that to you. The thing is, Newton isn’t a QB who can run; he’s a QB who has to or he’ll never be at his best. I know, the truth can hurt – just ask Cam! Newton will try to return to regular form on Sunday.

Carolina is one of the best defenses in the league, but they struggled last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. To their credit, the Steelers have been very impressive on the offensive side of the ball, but the Ravens have been pretty good as well. The Panthers’ defense will struggle once again and people will become concerned.

Well, not really, but you know what I mean. Taliaferro was very impressive last week against the Cleveland Browns, finishing with 18 carries and 91 yards. Taliaferro will reach triple digits and a score against the Panthers’ tough defense and cement himself as the new starting running back in Baltimore.

2. DeAngelo Williams Rushes for 150 Yards, 2 TDs

The Panthers have established that they need a running game, but they have been one of the worst thus far. That's not right. Carolina gets the ground game going against the Ravens and their solid defense against the run. With Jonathan Stewart and Mike Tolbert out, Williams will be the lone workhorse at running back.

Steve Smith is just a little bit mad about his old team, the Carolina Panthers, releasing him. Smith, at age 35, has been the best part about the Ravens’ aerial attack this season, and he will want to personally show the Panthers that they gave up on him too soon. I actually like the Panthers, but I have a bad feeling about this one and it starts with Smith.
