They always say when in doubt, just relax and be patient. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers sent a message to Green Bay Packers fans to just relax and take things one game at a time. There was no need for anyone to freak out so early in the season since Rodgers knew his Packers would be just fine. This past Sunday against the Chicago Bears, he sent a loud message that relaxing is indeed the way to go as he helped beat Chicago 38-17.
In a huge rivalry game against the Bears, Rodgers put up astounding numbers to back up his statements. All the built-up frustration that fans were having about the Packers were put away since he proved they are still a top team to beat in the NFC North. After going 22-of-28 for 302 yards and four huge touchdowns, Rodgers helped put a deeper meaning that relaxing is the way to go.
Too many times, fans label a season as a failure way too prematurely. Considering the month of September isn’t even over yet, there is still a ton of football to be played. Rodgers is very much aware that this was just the beginning of what should be a promising and winning season for the Packers. Not only did Rodgers have a field day picking apart the Bears’ secondary with ease, he made NFL history in the process. He reached over 25,000 passing yards in just 3,065 attempts, a milestone that he achieved with the fewest attempts ever. This incredible achievement was previously held by legendary quarterback Kurt Warner at 3,076 attempts, which is remarkable.
Rodgers proved that patience is one of the best virtues to have in life. It’s not always good to hit the panic button so early since the Packers have yet another extraordinary quarterback at the helm for years to come. Relax Packers fans, everything will be just fine!
