We are through the first quarter of the NFL season and the Chicago Bears stand at 2-2. Let's take one last look at Week 4 before moving on to Bears-Panthers.

Jared Allen

Jared Allen missed his first game against the Packers as a Bear. He had pneumonia during the week leading up to Sunday and lost 18 pounds. The pass rush was almost non-existent in Week 4. To beat Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers, a good pass rush is a must.

Jay Cutler threw two picks Sunday. One of them was definitely on him, as he tried to fit it in a tight space. The other may have been miscommunication. Once he threw the first interception, the game was never close.

In Week 1 and 2, the defense showed the ability to get turnovers and keep the opposition out of the end zone. They did it with pressure on the QB and an aggressive secondary. I saw none of that in Week 4.

Forte got as many carries as he did in both Week 2 and 3 combined vs. the Packers. With that, he collected a career-high 122 yards on the ground. A well-balanced offense will benefit Jay Cutler.

After two straight wins, Tucker's job seemed secure -- now, not so much. His defense allowed a score on every Packer drive, except the last one. His inability to find the right safety combination is key. The rotation is not succeeding. Mel Tucker might not be the Bears' defensive coordinator for much longer.
