Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings: Predicting the Final Score

For the second time this season, the Green Bay Packers will be playing on Thursday night, but this time they will be welcoming the Minnesota Vikings to Lambeau Field.

Both teams are 2-2 and are coming off impressive wins. The Packers’ offense finally came to life with Aaron Rodgers at the helm, scoring 38 points against the Chicago Bears. The Vikings turned the reins over to Teddy Bridgewater, and he did not disappoint. He threw for 317 yards and added a rushing touchdown as the Vikings pulled away from the Atlanta Falcons, winning by a score of 41-28.

With Bridgewater likely to play on Thursday, this game could be a shootout. In each of the first three Thursday night games, one team has completely dominated the other, but I would expect that to change on Thursday. Aaron Rodgers is Aaron Rodgers. He is going to be in top form, and he should shred the Vikings secondary as long as tackles David Bakhtiari and Bryan Bulaga hold Anthony Barr and Everson Griffen in check.

The Vikings should be licking their chops as well. The Packers gave up over 200 yards rushing last week against the Bears, and the Vikings are coming off a game in which they had two running backs rush for at least 75 yards. Matt Asiata scored three touchdowns, but the Packers really need to worry about Jerick McKinnon. He is a potential game-breaker with explosive speed, and he could cause serious problems for the Packers’ front seven.

With all that being said, there is nothing quite like playing in Lambeau under the lights. The crowd will be rocking after two Packers road games, and I believe that it will be too much for the rookie quarterback to deal with.

Final Prediction: Green Bay 38-Minnesota 27
