The Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers meet on Sunday in a battle of 2-2 teams. It's a critical game for both teams as they each need to win this game while navigating difficult stretches in their schedule. Here’s a look ahead to Sunday’s matchup and five bold predictions for the game.

Matt Forte had a solid performance in Week 1 and was off his game in Weeks 2 and 3 before recovering last week against the Packers. Last week Forte had 171 all-purpose yards, but he has yet to find the end zone in any of the Bears' games this year. That ends this week. Forte will finally break through with a touchdown reception, have over 100 yards rushing and over 50 yards receiving.

The Panthers' defense has been horrible in their last two games, and it won’t get any better this week. After giving up 454 yards in each of the last two games, the Panthers will again find themselves giving up massive yards as Ron Rivera continues to struggle to find the reason for his team’s defensive woes.

3. Jared Allen and Willie Young Will Both Record a Sack

The Bears' pass rush was nonexistent last week against Green Bay. Jared Allen missed the game with pneumonia and Willie Young was finally shut out after recording at least one sack in each of his first three games. The pass rush will be greatly improved, and Carolina has given up nine sacks over the last three weeks as their offensive line has struggled on both run blocking and pass protection. Allen and Young each take down Newton at least once.

2. No Panthers RB Will Gain Over 40 Yards Rushing

The Panthers' rushing attack is a mess. DeAngelo Williams has been ruled out, and Jonathan Stewart has been downgraded to doubtful. The Panthers will use Darrin Reaves, Fozzy Whittaker and Chris Ogbonnaya to share the load. Don’t expect any of the three to have good games behind the struggling offensive line, and the Panthers will continue to sputter in the ground game.

The Bears have failed to win in front of their home crowd yet this season. However, they happen to be undefeated on the road. The Bears have been inconsistent, but not as erratic as the Panthers who have been lost on defense the last two weeks. The Bears' road success will continue this week, knocking off the struggling Panthers with a 27-16 victory.
