New England Patriots’ Tom Brady Should Join New York Jets In 2015

Things just got a little bit more interesting for the New England Patriots, as Chris Mortensen is reporting a rift between quarterback Tom Brady and the coaching staff.

“Sources say Brady is uncomfortable with the personnel and coaching changes,” Mortensen said on NFL Countdown. “The consequences have led to tensions between Brady and the coaching staff, with Brady’s input into game plans, personnel packages, formations, pre-snap adjustments being significantly diminished.”

It seems that things have soured in New England, which begs the question: Will they bench their star quarterback before the season’s end?

I say no, but it will be interesting to keep tabs on how this develops. There is still time for the team to make an in-season trade. I know it would be ludicrous to trade a quarterback with Brady’s resume midseason, but we have seen Bill Belichick do some strange things in the past. The head coach seems to have intuition for when a player does not have anything left, and, maybe, he is right once again.

If Brady gets traded or released, though, then the perfect landing spot for him would be the New York Jets. They have a defensive scheme that would keep Brady in games, a fanbase desperate for wins and Geno Smith could take a bit more time to learn from one of the best quarterbacks to ever play. Something tells me Rex Ryan would have no complaints either.

Would it be strange to see Brady play for his divisional rival? Absolutely, but it would be a lot of fun too, and we all know how the NFL is sometimes known as the No Fun League.

Spice it up, Patriots! You know Brady would look mean in green.
