Tom Brady’s Angry Play Has Patriots Cruising vs Bengals

Coming into tonight’s game between the New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals, there was a lot of chatter about Tom Brady and his standing with the team. The whirlwind of rumors talked about his displease with the way Bill Belichick and Co. were running the offense, not allowing Brady the same level of control he’s had in the past. Others mentioned that the team could be preparing to move on from the future Hall of Fame quarterback.

The speculation was that Brady would come out flat with all of the drama weighing him down mentally. The exact opposite happened, and it’s obviously put the Patriots in an outstanding position to come away with a win.

Through the first half, Brady completed 11 of his 19 passes for 153 yards and one touchdown. He also ran the ball four times for 13 yards. While the numbers won’t blow anyone away, it’s the way he’s played that his teammates are feeding off of. Brady is standing in the pocket with confidence, making smart, decisive throws and even lowering his shoulder when he does decide to run. The passion he’s playing with is evidenced by the video above.

It’s a different Brady than we’ve seen the past couple of weeks, and that’s why the Patriots went into halftime with a 20-3 lead.

Maybe this was Belichick’s plan all along?
