Tavon Austin Will Be X-Factor For St. Louis Rams In Week 6

To this point in his short career, Tavon Austin has been a disappointment for the St. Louis Rams. Drafted with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, Austin was supposed to come in right away and be a playmaker for a Rams offense that desperately needed to add some talent to their receiving core.

However, outside of a few nice games down the stretch in his rookie season, Austin has looked overwhelmed at the NFL level. With that said, Austin still has exciting ability when he has the ball in his hands, and because of that, he is the Rams’ X-factor in week six.

Despite only having five receptions so far this season, Austin figures to start playing more of a role in the passing game, and that could mean big things if the Rams can get him the ball in space. Quarterback Austin Davis has surprised a lot of people with his solid play so far this season, and if he and Austin can get on the same page, the Rams could add another dimension to their offense. It’s simple, when he has the ball in space, Austin can make plays; the Rams just need to get Austin in space and let him make explosive plays.

All in all, Tavon Austin is the Rams X-factor going into Week 6. With a gameplan that highlights his strengths, and with defenses keying in on fellow receiver, Brian Quick, Austin should have a breakout game for the Rams in Week 6.
