Both the Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming off of tough Week 5 losses, and both are looking for redemption this week. These are two teams in very different places right now. The Ravens are in the thick of the playoff race while the Bucs are fighting for their lives. Here are five predictions for this Week 6 showdown.

Despite the absence of Ray Rice, the Ravens’ running game has been a strength this year, currently ranking 12th in the league in yards per game. The trio of Justin Forsett, Lorenzo Taliaferro and Bernard Pierce have been a steadying presence, with Forsett in particular running extremely well. Against a Buccaneers run defense that has had its struggles, expect more solid production.

4. Lavonte David Will Be All Over the Field

Were he playing for a team with a larger national profile, David would be in the conversation for best defensive player in the game. He is having another standout campaign so far, leading Tampa Bay in tackles, tackles for loss and forced fumbles. Baltimore’s offense has quite a few weapons, so David will be asked to do a lot once again. And once again, the All-Pro should deliver.

3. Steve Smith and Vincent Jackson Will Both Top 100 Yards

The No. 1 receivers of these two squads will both be licking their chops in anticipation of this week’s matchup. The Ravens and Bucs boast two of the weakest pass defenses in the NFL, ranking 26th and 30th in total pass defense, respectively. Smith and Jackson have both been lighting up the stat sheet this year, and they could have the chance for even more big numbers this Sunday.

2. Joe Flacco Will Have A Big Game

As mentioned earlier, Tampa Bay’s pass defense is among the worst in football. When a Super Bowl-winning quarterback comes to town, it’s a bad matchup all around. Flacco has had his ups and downs so far this season. But going up against a porous defense with the weapons surrounding him, Flacco has the opportunity to make a statement with a big game in Week 6.

1. Baltimore Will Win Comfortably

The Ravens and Buccaneers are both desperately seeking a win a week after they both suffered tough road losses. Despite their differing records, both teams remain very much in their respective division races. Unfortunately for Tampa Bay, this week is simply not a good matchup for them. Joe Flacco and Baltimore’s offense should have a field day against a Bucs defense that hasn’t been able to stop anybody this year.
