Sunday night’s showdown in Philadelphia is one of the biggest regular season games for the New York Giants in recent memory. This matchup currently weighs a heavy bearing on the divisional standings, but regardless of when or where these teams face each other, the hatred is real. Throughout the week, there has been trash talk from both franchises, most significantly a childish cartoon by the Philadelphia Eagles Twitter page.
Naturally that cartoon came from the official social media outlet of the Eagles. But Giants fans can expect their official pump up videos from someone in all likelihood just like them. Chuck Knoxx is an editor and Giants fan extraordinaire. For the past few seasons, he has provided Giants fans with exactly what they need to hear before a game, regardless of the circumstances.
Knoxx also provides Giants fans with his own versions of “Knoxxsterpiece Theatre,” in which fans can view his personal reactions to big plays in the previous game as they occurred. A hilarious, accurate representation of what being a die-hard fan of Big Blue can often look like. Although be warned, the language content is not always clean. Fortunately, Knoxx provides fans with a clean version of every promotional video he produces.
This week’s video was a big deal. The back and forth talk between the Giants and Eagles had been going on all week and Knoxx delivered the final knockout punch yesterday afternoon. In the specific video, “Shut Them Down,” Knoxx combines footage and sound effects from the Giants victory over the Atlanta Falcons, great music and a personal message of his own in light of the enormous upcoming showdown on Sunday night.
These are the best fan made pump up videos for Giants fans on the internet. Knoxx has a Twitter page, a Facebook page and an official YouTubeaccount. He also provides countless teaser trailers for upcoming videos, and comical outlooks on specific situations. But quite simply, what makes Knoxx fantastic, is he’s just like any normal lover of Big Blue.
As the days turn to hours and the hours to minutes, Giants fans are getting more and more hyped about the divisional showdown in Philadelphia on Sunday night. While Knoxx specifically brought the thunder this week, fans can expect at least two videos a week between Knoxxsterpiece Theatre and the official pump up video of the week.
So Giants fans, if you have kids or anyone with sensitive ears nearby, make sure they are out of the room. Play “Shut Them Down” as many times as you see fit before Sunday night — be loud and proud no matter where you are. These types of games are what football fans live for, and people like Knoxx are here to remind you that.
