Tony Sparano's coaching debut for the Oakland Raiders was a success, despite the final outcome. Although the San Diego Chargers were able to win on a last-minute touchdown, the Raiders outplayed one of the best teams in the AFC. Although they are 0-5, the future is still bright for the Raiders. Here are five takeaways from their Week 6 loss.

Not many knew who T.J. Carrie was when the Raiders selected him in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Carrie played an excellent game in Week 6, as he finished the game with four tackles. It usually isn't a good thing if cornerbacks have a lot of tackles, but Carrie was excellent in covering the run game. Knowing that the Chargers would spread the field, Carrie played exceptionally well.

Sio Moore is the perfect fit in Oakland's aggressive 4-3 defense. Moore is an athletic, shifty linebacker who can make plays in the running and passing game. At weak side linebacker, Moore has the ability to make a huge impact on the game. In this game, Moore had 10 total tackles.

Andre Holmes has had his moments since joining the Raiders. At 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, Holmes looks the part for an NFL receiver. The Raiders finally opened up the playbook in this game and Holmes benefitted. His speed and ability to go up for the ball is terrific. Holmes will be a great deep-ball receiver for Derek Carr and this offense.

When the Raiders signed Maurice Jones-Drew in the offseason, the thought was he would be the starting back over oft-injured Darren McFadden. Although Jones-Drew has been nursing a hand injury, Week 6 made it clear who the starting running back was. McFadden ran the ball 14 times for 80 yards. This offense finally got a good ground showing in Week 6.

Derek Carr has been decent in 2014, but in Week 6 he showed the world just how good he can be. Granted, he wasn't able to drive the offense down and win the game at the end, but Carr threw for over 282 yards and four touchdowns. He has room for improvement and the players around him aren't spectacular. In the offseason, it will be interesting to see which skill players the Raiders can bring in to help Carr develop.
