We're through Week 6 of the NFL season and it's been a rough year for wide receivers so far. Premier players like Calvin Johnson and A.J. Green have had their production slowed by injuries but have had quality receivers step up in their place. Some top receivers have gotten off to sluggish starts while others are having career seasons. Here are the top 15 wide receivers to this point in the season.

Bengals receiver Mohamed Sanu had been quietly having a solid season until A.J. Green was sidelined with an injury. In Week 6 Sanu became the primary target, and his big day wasn't so quiet. Sanu caught 10 passes for 120 yards and his third touchdown of the season. He elevated his receiving total to 354 yards through just five games and he looks primed to easily eclipse his career receiving total entering this season.

Emmanuel Sanders is enjoying the best season of his career courtesy of Peyton Manning. Sanders is averaging almost 95 receiving yards per game as he looks to eclipse 1,000 yards for the first time in his career. He hasn’t scored a touchdown yet, keeping him low on this list.

Golden Tate has been the beneficiary of defenses keying in on Calvin Johnson, racking up 495 yards, good for sixth in the NFL. Tate only has one touchdown this season, but will look to strengthen his numbers as he sees more targets with Johnson on the sideline.

Rookie Kelvin Benjamin has used his massive frame to his advantage to bring in four touchdown catches for the Panthers. He is averaging just under 70 yards per game in what has been a strong rookie campaign.

Alshon Jeffrey has paired with Brandon Marshall to form one of the most explosive air attacks in the NFL. Jeffrey’s 495 receiving yards places him among league leaders, though he has only brought in two touchdown receptions this season.

Much uncertainty surrounded the Philadelphia Eagles' passing game entering the 2014 season, but Jeremy Maclin has answered the bell as he continues to have the best year of his career. His 445 yards put him on pace to break 1,000 yards receiving for the first time in his career and his four touchdowns make him one of the top producers at his position.

9. Dez Bryant

Dez Bryant has become one of the most feared receivers in the NFL, though he isn’t quite producing to his standards. The Cowboys have emerged as the top rushing team in the NFL, which explains Bryant’s relatively low 73 yards per game. He did, however, haul in a touchdown pass in four straight games until that streak was broken by the vaunted Seahawks’ defense.

T.Y. Hilton and quarterback Andrew Luck have developed quite the connection in their third season together. Hilton ranks fourth in the NFL with 604 yards receiving after his Week 6 explosion, where he caught nine passes for 223 yards and his first touchdown of the season.

7. Randall Cobb

Randall Cobb doesn’t have the gaudy numbers that some of the top receivers in the league do. His 29 catches for 331 yards don’t seem to belong on this list, but his seven touchdown catches are at least two more than any other wide receiver in the league.

6. DeSean Jackson

After getting off to a slow start to the season, DeSean Jackson has put his big-play ability on display. In his last two games, Jackson has recorded 272 yards and two touchdowns on just eight receptions, good for a 34 yards per catch average. His 479 yards receiving ranks in the top 10 in the NFL and his 20.8 yards per reception is well above any receiver on this list.

Veteran receiver Steve Smith came to Baltimore on a mission and he has been a pleasant surprise for the Ravens. Smith’s 573 receiving yards and four touchdowns put him on pace to have one of the best years of his career. He has proven that he still has big play ability and should still be considered one of the best receivers in the league.

4. Demaryius Thomas

Demaryius Thomas has flourished in the Broncos’ offense and he has the numbers to show for it. His 491 receiving yards rank eighth in the NFL even though Denver has only played five games this season. Thomas’ four touchdown catches thus far put him on pace for yet another double-digit touchdown season.

3. Julio Jones

Atlanta Falcons’ receiver Julio Jones has quickly become one of the NFL’s premier players at any position, and many would call him the best player on this list. His 44 receptions lead the league and his 620 receiving yards rank third among wide receivers. Jones would like to have more than three touchdowns at this stage of the season, but he is having the best year of his career nonetheless.

2. Antonio Brown

Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antonio Brown exploded onto the scene last season and he looks poised to replicate those monster numbers this year. His 629 yards and five touchdowns both rank second in the NFL as Brown continues to be one of the few bright spots for the Steelers this season. Brown has recorded two multi-touchdown performances and has become one of the league’s most dangerous weapons.

Oh, you didn’t expect Jordy Nelson to be the top wide receiver six weeks into the season? Don’t worry, you’re certainly not alone. Aaron Rodgers’ favorite target leads the league with 632 yards receiving and his five touchdowns and 43 receptions each rank second. Nelson has brought in at least nine receptions in four games in what has been the best statistical season of his career by a wide margin.
