Week 7 Matchup: Cincinnati Bengals (3-1-1) vs. Indianapolis Colts (4-2)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 19, 1:00 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: Lucas Oil Stadium
Line: Indianapolis (-3.5)
The Indianapolis Colts may not be the best team in the NFL, but they certainly look like playoff contenders. After all, they have won four games in a row and Andrew Luck has been solid to say the least.
With that said, the Colts will take on Cincinnati next. The winner of this contest will have some serious bragging rights, considering both teams should be in this year’s playoffs. With that in mind, this game can go either way, but Indy gets the advantage because it is playing at home.
Although the Bengals won their first three games of 2014, they have since lost and tied one.
Given that fact, and given the fact that the Colts are riding a four-game winning streak, I have to go with them in this matchup. Also, Luck has really come along and is having quite the year. Thanks to him, Indianapolis is averaging the most passing yards per game. Luck is also leading the NFL with 17 TD passes.
When two great teams go head-to-head, it’s hard not to give the advantage to the home team. Well, for fans who don’t have a dog in the fight. The Colts will capture their fifth win in a row, but don’t expect Andy Dalton and Co. to just hand them the game.
PREDICTION: Bengals 27, Colts 30
