TV Schedule: Thursday, Oct. 16, 8:25 p.m. ET, CBS/NFL

Line: New England (-10)

Rivalry game or not, the New England Patriots are entering this contest with a lot of momentum. The exact opposite can be said about the New York Jets since they have now lost five games in a row.

To the Jets’ credit, they have played some of the best teams in the NFL, like Denver and San Diego.

New England may have started the season off shaky, but it has looked pretty solid over the last couple of weeks. Brady hasn’t been too bad during that span either. After all, the all-time great did throw for 361 yards and four touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills last game.

Whether if an adjustment needs to be made at head coach or not, something has to change. For what it’s worth, the Jets are averaging 182.2 passing yards per game. That is good enough for 32nd best in the NFL (there are only 32 teams). The running game hasn’t been too bad, though, as it ranks 12th in yards per game.

With that said, New York has scored the fewest amount of points in the AFC East and has allowed the most, you guessed it, points as well. That is a combination for disaster.

Although anything can happen in a rivalry game, or any other game for that matter, New England is the much better team, and it enters this game hot. The fans will more than likely be celebrating another victory at Gillette Stadium this week.

PREDICTION: Jets 21, Patriots 27
