Week 7 Matchup: Seattle Seahawks (3-2) vs. St. Louis Rams (1-4)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 19, 1:00 p.m. ET, FOX
Stadium: Edward Jones Dome
Line: Seattle (-7)
The Seattle Seahawks are without a doubt one of the best teams in the NFL, but they don’t appear to be as dominant as last season. Coming off of a loss to the Dallas Cowboys, the Seahawks will take on the St. Louis Rams next.
Vulnerable or not, Seattle is a much better team than St. Louis. After all, I don’t remember the Rams winning a Super Bowl last season.
The Rams haven’t had the easiest stretch as of late, and they took a big hit with Sam Bradford going down before the season even started. Even with Bradford completely out of the picture, St. Louis has managed to have the seventh best passing game when it comes to passing yards per game.
Regardless, this is the Seahawks we are talking about. Their hard-hitting defense should have no problem with the St. Louis offense, and that is really all it comes down to.
Sure, Seattle already has two losses, but those losses came against teams who could end up in the playoffs. It also beat a couple of teams who could have the same fortune.
The Rams have home-field advantage in this one, which means there is still a chance, but a small one at that.
As usual, expect RB Marshawn Lynch to carry the team on the ground, and the defense to come up big. That is just what the Seahawks do.
PREDICTION: Rams 14, Seahawks 27
