Bears vs. Patriots NFL Week 8: TV Schedule, Betting Lines, Prediction
Week 8 Matchup: Chicago Bears (3-4) vs. New England Patriots (5-2)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 26, 1:00 p.m. ET, FOX
Stadium: Gillette Stadium
Line: New England (-6)
The Chicago Bears will go into New England with a victory on their mind. Although they will be thinking about the victory, and need it to keep up with the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions, that doesn’t mean they will get it.
The Bears are a very hard team to figure out. When they are clicking on all cylinders, the sky is the limit with this team. Unfortunately, the Bears have been up and down all season long. It doesn’t help that they enter this contest on a down. Chicago lost to Miami by the score of 27-14 at home last week. If they struggled at home, just imagine what the Patriots will do to them at Gillette Stadium.
Speaking of the Pats, they have now won three games in a row. During that streak, Tom Brady has thrown nine TDs and zero interceptions. Talking about proving the critics wrong. After all these years, Brady still is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. New England shouldn’t have any problem winning this one, if the Bears play like they did last week.
With that in mind, Chicago has been pretty good on the road this year (3-1). It is at home where the Bears can’t seem to win (0-3). Depending on which Chicago team shows up, this could either be a blowout in New England’s favor, or must-watch TV. No matter what the case, I am predicting the Patriots to win their fourth in a row.
PREDICTION: Bears 24, Patriots 28
