Week 8 Matchup: Miami Dolphins (3-3) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-6)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 26, 1:00 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: EverBank Field
Line: Miami (-6)
While the Miami Dolphins still have something to play for, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ season is basically over. Well, when it comes to making the playoffs, that is.
Surprisingly enough, Miami knocked off the Chicago Bears on the road in Week 7. Not only that, but they only gave up 14 points to a Bears offense that was supposed to be the bee’s knees in 2014. If it weren’t for a three-point loss against Green Bay the week before, the Dolphins would be sitting very nicely right now. Instead, they trail the New England Patriots by a couple of games in the division.
After six weeks of disappointment, the Jacksonville Jaguars finally won their first game of the season. They managed to knock off a pretty good Cleveland Browns team by the score of 24-6. Now, if only the Jags could get a nice winning streak going. With that said, Jacksonville has only scored 105 points this year, while giving up 191.
The Jaguars may have gotten their first win last week, but Miami has three of those bad boys this year. Not to mention, QB Blake Bortles threw three interceptions against the Browns, which is simply not going to cut it on a weekly basis. Jacksonville has the fans on its side, but its winning streak will start and end at one.
PREDICTION: Dolphins 24, Jaguars 23
