Week 8 Matchup: Seattle Seahawks (3-3) vs. Carolina Panthers (3-3-1)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 26, 1:00 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: Bank of America Stadium
Line: Seattle (-5.5)
Don’t look now, but the Seattle Seahawks already have three losses this season. Not to mention, their next game against the Carolina Panthers will be no gimme. For what it’s worth, Carolina has three losses as well, and a tie.
That was a weird week for Seattle. Out of nowhere, the team decided to part ways with Percy Harvin, and then the Seahawks lost to the St. Louis Rams. Seattle has now lost two games in a row, which I didn’t think was possible with how solid the team has been playing over the last year or so. Without Harvin in the lineup, the Seahawks may be lacking home-run threats, which is not a good thing going forward.
The Panthers are coming off a beating against the Green Bay Packers. With how hot the Packers have been, that loss really wasn’t a surprise. Carolina has given up quite a bit of points this year and the defense needs to start putting opposing teams in check. Until that actually happens, the offense is going to have to come up big if the Panthers are going to compete in football games.
Carolina may have home-field advantage, but Seattle losing three games in a row just doesn’t sound right. Therefore, the Seahawks will get back on track by knocking off the Panthers in Week 8.
PREDICTION: Seahawks 25, Panthers 14
