London gets to play host to the Detroit Lions (5-2) and the Atlanta Falcons (2-5) this Sunday for their Week 8 matchup. The Lions are hoping to keep their lead in the NFC North, while the Falcons just want to hold on in the NFC South, where the entire division has been a disappointment. These are five bold predictions for Sunday’s matchup in London!

Bell was underwhelming for the first four weeks of the season until missing Week 5 with an injury. Since coming back in Week 6, though, Bell has been on a bit of a roll. Bell will be facing the absolutely terrible defense of Atlanta at the right time, and he will light up the scoreboard in London.

The Lions have a really good defense, and I doubt that the Falcons will be able to run very effectively against them. Detroit will give up 300 passing yards to Ryan, but they will not surrender a touchdown to the veteran quarterback.

3. Matt Bryant Kicks 5 Field Goals

Because Detroit’s defense won’t surrender a touchdown to Ryan, and will give up little in the run game, Bryant will have a very busy day. He has not had to kick more than three field goals this season, but that changes this Sunday in London when Bryant hits on all five of his field goal attempts.

2. Matt Ryan Gets Sacked More Times Than Matthew Stafford

No quarterback gets hit more than Matthew Stafford. Stafford has been sacked 24 times this season, while Matt Ryan has been sacked 15 times. However, I don’t think Atlanta will be able to muster up much of a pass rush, so Stafford will be able to enjoy being the least hit starting quarterback on the field for once.

1. Golden Tate Goes Off For Over 200 Yards Receiving

Tate has been one of the best receivers in the league over the past four weeks. Clearly, he is becoming more comfortable in the Lions’ offense by the day. I completely anticipate Tate to shred up the Falcons’ secondary in London -- with or without Calvin Johnson.
