5 Bold Predictions For Redskins vs. Cowboys

ESPN probably thought Robert Griffin III would be completely healthy when they scheduled this "Monday Night Football" game featuring the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys, but his ankle did not cooperate with that plan. This rivalry is always fun to watch, and even more so when it plays out on a national stage. Here are my five bold predictions for Monday.

Colt McCoy looked a lot better than Kirk Cousins last week against the Tennessee Titans. It was a narrow victory, but it was also much-needed for a season that was on the brink of disaster. In my opinion, Robert Griffin III will not play in this one, however, he should be ready by next Sunday.

4. The Cowboys Will Not Use Any Silent Counts

Against the Houston Texans, Tony Romo shifted to a silent snap count at times as a result of crowd noise, but that will not happen on Monday night against Washington.

3. DeMarco Murray Will Top 150 Rushing Yards

DeMarco Murray should extend his streak of rushing for over 100 yards to a record eight games, and he will even top 150 against a defense that is giving up 103.3 yards on the ground per contest and has not faced an offensive line this fearsome.

2. Robert Griffin III Will Be a Great Cheerleader

I already predicted in the first slide that RGIII would not play on Monday night, however, he will make a great mentor/cheerleader on the sideline. Lest we forget, Griffin was the first Redskin to ever topple the Cowboys on MNF, and so McCoy should listen to everything Washington's former starter has to say.

The Cowboys will win this matchup by a small margin (24-23) and extend their winning streak to seven games, but it should end in the following week on the road against the Arizona Cardinals.
