Week 8 will feature two division opponents out of the AFC South, the Houston Texans (3-4) on the road against the Tennessee Titans (2-5). This matchup is exciting because it features the return of Jadeveon Clowney for the Texans and the first career NFL start for Titans rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger. Here are five bold predictions for Sunday’s matchup.

The veteran tight end has been quiet with Charlie Whitehurst under center, but rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger could provide the spark that Walker needs. Mettenberger will be under heavy pressure and will lean on Walker to drive the Titans down the field.

Foster is good, and the Titans’ defense isn’t. Also, Ryan Fitzpatrick has not been nearly as bad the last couple of weeks as people make him out to be, but he desperately needs a win. Look for Foster to do his thing on the ground and also catch some swing passes from Fitzpatrick.

We hardly got even a peak at Clowney before he went out with an injury in Week 1 against the Washington Redskins, but that will change on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. J.J. Watt has been an absolute beast and will still demand a lot of attention with Clowney on the field. Clowney will reap the benefits of facing a lot of one-on-ones and facing a rookie quarterback making his first NFL start.

A rookie quarterback against a defense that is No. 1 in the NFL in takeaways is obviously a recipe for an upset. Alright, maybe not, but it’s a bold prediction for a reason! Despite logic, I like Mettenberger to get hit and make mistakes, but stand tall in the pocket and deliver a win over the Texans.

The trade deadline is Oct. 28, so if Houston is going to make the move, then they have to do it soon. Johnson is one of the greatest receivers that I have ever personally seen play the game, and seeing him in a different uniform would be weird. But the NFL is a business, and the Texans have to do what they think is best for their organization going forward.
