Week 9 Matchup: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-6) vs. Cleveland Browns (4-3)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Nov. 2, 1:00 p.m. ET, FOX
Stadium: FirstEnergy Stadium
Line: Cleveland (-7)
While the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have seen much better days, the Cleveland Browns are having a relatively good season. The two will meet up in Week 9, with the Browns being the clear favorite at home.
Tampa Bay’s only win this season came against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road. A pretty solid win to say the least, but the team hasn’t been able to put it all together outside of that game. The team simply does not score enough points, and gives up way too many — needs serious help on both sides of the ball.
Cleveland is coming off a win against the Oakland Raiders. A win is a win, but it is not like the Raiders are a playoff team or anything. The game before that, the Browns managed to lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars. In the process, they only scored six points on the road. For what it’s worth, Cleveland still has a shot at winning the AFC North, but it absolutely has to beat easier opponents.
There is still a lot of the season left, so I suppose anything can happen now and until the end, but Tampa Bay needs a miracle to make the playoffs, while the Browns need to just keep winning at home, and stealing some games on the road when they can.
Regardless, the Browns’ offense should have no problem racking up the points against the Buccaneers in this one.
PREDICTION: Buccaneers 17, Browns 28
