Week 9 Matchup: Indianapolis Colts (5-3) vs. New York Giants (3-4)
TV Schedule: Monday, Nov. 3, 8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
Stadium: MetLife Stadium
Line: Indianapolis (-3.5)
Both the Indianapolis Colts and New York Giants will try to rebound against one another in Week 9.
Indianapolis is coming off a game in which it lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Basically, Pittsburgh went off, and ended up scoring 51 points in the contest. Before that one, Indy won five in a row. The team doesn’t have a huge lead in the AFC South, but I am sure the Colts are still many people’s favorites when it comes to winning that division.
New York’s dominance didn’t seem to last too long. After winning three games in a row, and looking like a contender in the process, the Giants have now lost back-to-back. Those losses didn’t come against the easiest competition (Philadelphia and Dallas), but still. As it stands, things aren’t looking too good for New York in the NFC East standings, and the team could use a big win over Indy to help get it back on track.
Unfortunately, I don’t think the Giants are going to pull this one off at home. Andrew Luck is proving to be an elite QB, which goes a long ways in the NFL. That doesn’t mean this one won’t be close throughout, but stopping Luck isn’t necessarily one of the easiest things to do, and beating the Colts in general isn’t either.
PREDICTION: Colts 27, Giants 20
