Week 9 Matchup: Washington Redskins (3-5) vs. Minnesota Vikings (3-5)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Nov. 2, 1:00 p.m. ET, FOX
Stadium: TCF Bank Stadium
Line: Minnesota (-3)
Both the Minnesota Vikings and Washington Redskins could use a win just to stay afloat in their divisions. Luckily, one of the two will move their win total up to four here shortly, as the two will meet up in Week 9.
It wasn’t the most dominating performance, but the Vikings still managed to knock off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their last game. It did, however, take overtime to do it. Minnesota is tied at the bottom of the NFC North, with everyone trailing the Detroit Lions. While the Vikings don’t allow the most points per game or anything like that, they do struggle to score. That can usually be expected when a team starts a rooking QB, though. Oh yeah, losing a player as talented as Adrian Peterson out of nowhere can lead to that as well.
Washington not only got a victory in Week 8, but it got a victory against the Dallas Cowboys on the road. In the process, QB Colt McCoy got plenty of people’s attention. The Redskins have now won two games in a row, but still have a very long ways to go. Finding a solid QB who can stay healthy would certainly be a step in the right direction, though.
Although Washington managed to knock off a top team in Week 8, it won’t get so lucky this time around at Minnesota.
PREDICTION: Redskins 21, Vikings 23
