It seems like the whole “I’m in the NFL, so I get what I want” mentally goes beyond the players.
According to reports, former Baltimore Ravens cheerleader Molly Shattuck was arrested on Wednesday and charged with rape and unlawful sexual contact with a minor. She has since been released on $84,000 bond after pleading not guilty to the charges.
Shattuck and the 15-year-old boy apparently developed a relationship during her time in Maryland. She then reportedly brought him with her on vacation over Labor Day to Delaware, where she bought him alcohol and had a sexual encounter with him.
Reports indicate that the boy told authorities of their relationship on September 26, and her house was searched on October 1, when officials found several items “pertinent to the investigation.”
Shattuck recently got divorced this past March, which may or may not have led to her seeking a relationship with the 15-year-old boy.
There’s been a recent flurry of reports popping up across the country involving adults engaging in sexual relationships with minors. This is just the latest incident that proves this is a bigger problem than originally believed. There’s no good excuse for having sexual relations with a minor, and we expect Shattuck to find that out the hard way.
