Whether they came into the week with playoff hopes or not, these 10 teams are effectively out of the playoff picture after Week 10. Some of the teams on this list are surprising while others were expected, but they all have one thing in common: they'll be watching football from their couches in January.

Week 10 Result: W over TB 27-17

Even though the Falcons won this week, they're on the outside looking in on the playoff picture. However, they chose the right division to play in. The Saints, leaders of the NFC South have a record of just 4-5. So this is based on the fact the Falcons have looked pretty bad this season, not the distance they have to cover in the division.

Week 10 Result: L vs. ATL 17-27

The Buccaneers were a sexy pick to make the playoffs this season, but that's not happening. The best record they can have is 8-8 and that's not going to cut it. This team looks like it's still a couple years away from being able to compete.

8. New York Jets (2-8)

Week 10 Result: W over PIT 20-13

The Jets were actually the most impressive team on this list this week as they knocked off the red-hot Steelers. However, they already dug themselves such a deep hole that they won't be playing past Week 17 this year.

Week 10 Result: Bye Week

The Redskins got a much-needed week off after starting another potentially futile season. While they seem to be improved from last year, the Redskins are still a long way from being serious contenders in the NFC.

Week 10 Result: L vs. ARI 31-14

The Rams were giving another more talented NFC West foe a run for their money, but they completely imploded in the fourth quarter. They actually led at one point, but the Cardinals put them away with a couple defensive touchdowns. With that finish, the Rams' playoff hopes are over.

Week 10 Result: L vs. SEA 38-17

It may finally be time for the Giants to part ways with coach Tom Coughlin. While he's avoided the ax several times before in New York, this may be what does him in. Unless the Giants run the table and make the playoffs, he's as good as gone.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-9)

Week 10 Result: L vs. DAL 31-17

Their win-loss record of 1-9 doesn't reflect how they've played this season; the Jaguars easily could have three or four wins. However, they haven't finished games and again they sit at the bottom of the NFL. It's going to be another long season in Jacksonville.

3. Tennessee Titans (2-7)

Week 10 Result: L vs. BAL 21-7

Despite rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger looking promising since taking over, this team is lost. Their defense needs a lot of help and that should be priority No. 1 this offseason.

Week 10 Result: Humiliated by the Packers

The final score isn't even the point of the Bears' most recent game against the rival Packers. This team has so much talent and they've wasted it all season long. Now they have almost no chance of reaching the postseason despite having some of the best offensive weapons in the league.

Week 10 Result: L vs. DEN 41-17

Despite solid play from rookie quarterback Derek Carr, the Raiders are once again among the worst teams in all of football. There are too many holes to fill on this team and them being competitive seems like a long shot for at least the next two years.
