Week 11 Matchup: Atlanta Falcons (3-6) vs. Carolina Panthers (3-6-1)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Nov. 16, 1:00 p.m. ET, FOX
Stadium: Bank of America Stadium
Line: Carolina (-1.5)
Both the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons have seen better days. Carolina hasn’t won a game since Oct. 5, and Atlanta finally won after losing five games in a row.
Let’s start with the Falcons. Their first win of the season vs. the New Orleans Saints gave the fans way too much hope. I am sure it didn’t take too long for fans to figure out that they didn’t have a playoff contender on their hands, though. With that said, the NFC South is very weak this year. You would think one team would eventually step up, but that remains to be seen.
Believe it or not, after the contest with Atlanta, Carolina will only have five games left — this season is flying by. Although the Panthers have lost four in a row, they haven’t played the easiest opponents during that span. It is hard to believe it has really been since the beginning of October since this team had the taste of victory, but it has a great shot of entering the win column again this week.
The Panthers will be playing in front of their fans and they are going up against a team that has only beaten the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (twice) and the Saints on the season. No offense to New Orleans, but it was playing on the road when it took on Atlanta. We all know the Saints are a much better team at home.
PREDICTION: Falcons 22, Panthers 33
