There are 10 weeks down and only seven weeks to go. Then there are another four weeks until the Patriots face the Packers in the Super Bowl (calling it here) and win and I lose my mind. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Yes, this isn't exactly the midpoint in the season, but the Patriots are coming off their bye so for them this is kinda midseason. It works. Let's start handing out awards.

10. Best Offensive Player - Rob Gronkowski

Yes, Tom Brady makes a strong case, but he’s already got plenty of awards (not to mention Gisele) so I’ll give this award to the biggest bro in all of football. Gronk is finally at 100 percent and reminding the NFL just how scary and insane a player he can be. If he can stay healthy into the playoffs, the Patriots are going to be impossible to beat.

9. Best Defensive Player - Rob Ninkovich

I've gotta go with my “underrated at being underrated” hero here. Nink has gotten sacks, recovered fumbles, caught interceptions and even scored touchdowns. With Chandler Jones injured, Nink has taken it upon himself to lead the defensive line and become a disruptive force. Also, how cool is it that two Robs won these awards? Super cool.

8. Team MVP - Tom Brady

It has to be Brady. No one on the team is playing better and means more to this team than Brady. I hate giving MVP awards to quarterbacks, but Brady deserves it. He actually deserves the NFL MVP award too, though he probably won’t get it. He at least deserves the award more than Manning.

7. Best Coach - Matt Patricia

Bill Belichick is the easy answer here, but I’m going to go with defensive coordinator Matt Patricia. With Jones and Jerod Mayo out, Patricia has done a terrific job still keeping this defense top notch. Yes, Revis and Browner help, but Patricia has been great at putting this defense in positions to succeed.

6. Best Draft Pick - Bryan Stork

This is Bryan Stork hands down. I might even write a full fledged article about this simply to show how strongly I feel about it. Stork shored up a horrible offensive line and even has managed to fill the Logan Mankins role of “best beard on the team”. Those are some big shoes to fill.

5. Best Free Agent Signing - Brandon LaFell

Ah, I really wanted to personally hand this award to Patrick Chung because I know he really wanted this award. But since I have already spoken at great length about the surprise that is Chung, I gotta go with LaFell. He has been able to flourish in this offense, something most free agent wide receivers fail at, and is becoming a huge playmaker for the Pats.

4. Best Game - vs. Denver Broncos

This is the obvious choice, but it’s hard to pick any other game. The Patriots took the best team in football and made them look weak. They simply crushed Manning and the Broncos, and if the Pats can play that kind of football into the playoffs, Super Bowl here they come!

3. Biggest Game Coming Up - vs. Green Bay Packers

The Packers are the Patriots of the NFC right now. They started slow but have been firing on all cylinders the last few weeks and look terrifying right now. This game will be a huge test for both teams and a probably Super Bowl preview. Plus, I’m going to this game with my girlfriend who’s a huge Packers fan, so the Patriots have to win.

2. Best Single Play - Chandler Jones’ Blocked Field Goal

I have to show love to my favorite guy on the roster. How he was able to block the kick, recover the football and then run it all the way for a touchdown I will never know. If I had any doubt of Jones’ athletic ability, that play got rid of it in a hurry.

Since Stevan Ridley has been injured the rushing attack has taken a major backseat. And it's understandable, but hopefully during the bye the Patriots have been able to get back on track and come out with a more balanced attack. Jonas Gray has shown flashes of brilliance, but hopefully he can start to become a more consistent threat.
